Ahena Organic Farm

About the Farm..

Our aim is… to practice the Art of Mindful Living here at Ahena Organic Farm. We overlook green fields, cattle, sheep, a couple of neighbouring farms, a few trees and the top of Croagh Patrick on a clear day. This is a fully working organic farm, mainly beef suckler but also grain crop and kitchen gardens.

Oliver offers… Psychotherapy / Counselling services by appointment here at the Farms’ Therapy Room. We also provide Social Farming opportunities in conjunction with SoFI (Social Farming Ireland). Anna is usually absorbed in her painting out in the newly converted cow house studio !

Main Farming Enterprise… Organic Suckler Beef, main breed is Black Angus. We also do some forage crops and grow quite a lot of red and white clover. We do an Organic Kitchen Garden which has a small poly tunnel, raised beds & Native Irish Apple Orchard (non-commercial). Our Family Farm at Ahena comprises of 2 cattle sheds & a straw shed. The out-farm is 11 miles away in Scardaune, Ballyglass which includes a 20 year old commercial forest
